Pacto Violeta, un compromiso entre los sectores p\u00fablico, privado y la academia para promover el proyecto de Turismo Violeta, que se logr\u00f3 con el apoyo del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), y que permite priorizar las necesidades de las mujeres en el turismo, tanto en el rol de trabajadoras o emprendedoras, como tambi\u00e9n en el de viajeras responsables, para visibilizar, reconocer y apoyar el turismo con enfoque de g\u00e9nero.<\/p><p>\u201c<em>Para la industria del turismo, el aporte de la mujer es sumamente significativo, sobre todo si recordamos que el 54% del total de trabajadores del sector son mujeres<\/em>\u201d, dijo el ministro de Turismo, Niels Olsen, al explicar que, dentro del pilotaje del proyecto de Turismo Violeta se trabaj\u00f3 con tres Centros de Turismo Comunitario de las regiones Costa (Dos Mangas-Santa Elena), Andes (La Moya-Chimborazo) y Amazon\u00eda (Sinchi Warmi-Tena), con el acompa\u00f1amiento de agencias de viajes.<\/p><p>Esto se profundiz\u00f3 en un foro en el que justamente, Herlinda Gonz\u00e1lez, miembro del Centro de Turismo Comunitario Dos Mangas coment\u00f3 que el proyecto ayuda al progreso de los pobladores de la localidad, que trabajan en la atenci\u00f3n a los viajeros y en el desarrollo del tejido de sombreros de paja toquilla, como un medio de demostraci\u00f3n de la cultura y tradici\u00f3n locales, sostenible gracias a la reforestaci\u00f3n, y que se est\u00e1 transmitiendo a las nuevas generaciones y es parte de la experiencia que ofrecen a los visitantes.<\/p><p>Diana Bocarejo, representante del BID destac\u00f3 el trabajo conjunto con el Ministerio de Turismo y anunci\u00f3 que continuar\u00e1n apoyando estos procesos que son ejemplo para Latinoam\u00e9rica, por el alto impacto en la inclusi\u00f3n y generaci\u00f3n de empleo para las mujeres.<\/p><p>La ministra de la Mujer y Derechos Humanos, Paola Flores, particip\u00f3 de la firma del pacto indicando que el proyecto de Turismo Violeta es muy satisfactorio porque se reconoce el trabajo de las mujeres en cada comunidad. \u201c<em>Debemos mirar que si potencializamos la parte tur\u00edstica tambi\u00e9n lo hacemos con la parte econ\u00f3mica<\/em>\u201d, dijo.<\/p><p>De su parte, la viceministra de Turismo, Silvana Ram\u00edrez, explic\u00f3 que la cooperaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica realizada entre el BID y el Ministerio de Turismo es \u201c<em>una apuesta en la aplicaci\u00f3n del enfoque de g\u00e9nero para el desarrollo tur\u00edstico desde varios aspectos como la producci\u00f3n y el consumo responsable, la seguridad, la gesti\u00f3n sostenible, la inclusi\u00f3n territorial \u2013 comunitaria, la cultura organizacional, la formaci\u00f3n y educaci\u00f3n, y el bienestar y la salud de las mujeres<\/em>\u201d. A\u00f1adi\u00f3 que el sector tur\u00edstico desde el \u00e1mbito p\u00fablico, con el apoyo de organismos de cooperaci\u00f3n internacional y la academia, impulsa empresas y emprendimientos tanto privados como comunitarios m\u00e1s competitivos, con capacidad para dise\u00f1ar productos innovadores y bajo lineamientos de turismo responsable y equitativo.
